Our Story

Dartsee is an interactive electronic dartboard that uses state-of-the-art computer technology to bring darts to a new generation.

Its principle innovation comes by way of our founder, László Vass, who is an enthusiastic amateur player, and a professional computer scientist. He literally ‘played’ with computer code, cameras, home brew hardware and—it goes without saying—steel tip darts until he had developed the first generation of Dartsee in his garage.

After he had achieved a high level of accuracy in detecting the impact points of the darts, he set up a team to build a professional-grade system.

Originally, Dartsee was exclusively a software solution, providing the other necessary elements: computer vision system, a dart game running on a TV above a board, and an interface that allowed you to set up players and games.

But after a year of successfully deploying the system on several continents, Dartsee released its first standardized piece of hardware, the Ring. All you need to do is mount it on a wall, connect it to your TV, and you’re ready to play.
